Classification Services |
Classification is a system for safeguarding life, property and the environment at sea. It entails verification against a set of requirements during design, construction and operation of ships and offshore units. These requirements are based on the accumulated experience from GBS's large classed fleet, research and development and almost great experience. Our surveyors stationed around the world work with customers to ensure compliance throughout the lifetime of the classified object. GBS is one of the world's fast growing up classification societies, and has worked to improve safety at sea since 1996
Ship Classification is a mechanism by which the international shipping industry regulates itself. Ship Classification implies development of rules (standards) for the construction and maintenance of a ship's structure and essential engineering system and implementation of such rules in new building and existing ships to ensure the safety of the ships. The classification service of GBS has been now extended to cover all types of ships, craft and floating structures. |

We have approximate 150 and over ship-owners and also registered more than 250 ships and provided different services to the ship-owners. We also have the honor that we introduced the and other flags here in Syria and Lebanon.
Our basic aim and object is to provide the complete range of maritime services to the ship-owners under one window i.e. Registration, statutory, ism many special surveys upon the request and demand of the ship-owners.
