Guardian Bureau of Shipping LLC, known as G.B.S. was founded in 1999 in Delaware, U.S.A; its international head office is based in ISTANBUL, TURKEY. And other operational offices are structured in GREECE, EGYPT, LEBANON, AND UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.
As an independent Non-Governmental Classification Society with an international network of marine surveyors, G.B.S aims to provide the shipping communities with high quality Classification services within the applicable conditions and in accordance with effective international rules.
We have vast experience for the shipping and other related maritime fields. As we are serving now with many flag administrations from ship registrations to classifications.

G.B.S main office surveyors are fully trained and accredited by The Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport.
G.B.S. is also Authorized Loss Adjusters and Surveyors for several claim handlers and P&I clubs.

Classification Services
Classification is a system for safeguarding life, property and the environment at sea. It entails verification against a set of requirements during design, construction and operation of ships and offshore units. These requirements are based on the accumulated experience from GBS's large classed fleet, research and development and almost great experience.

We have approximate 150 and over ship-owners and also registered more than 250 ships and provided different services to the ship-owners. We also have the honor that we introduced the and other flags here in Syria and Lebanon.
